Now also at this point there is various outcomes, if there was part of a battleship in the square D4, then the player firing (player one) has got a hit on a battleship, they then mark their second grid at square D4 as a hit, perhaps shading the square D4 in to show a hit, alternatively they may have missed any battleships altogether and this is also marked on their second grid, but this time as a miss, perhaps marked with an X, or player two may announce that all the squares, that a battleship occupied, are now hit which would result in that battleship being sunk, and player one would perhaps outline all the shaded squares associated with that battleship to show it has been sunk.

Just as the above points to player one keeping their record of shots on their second grid, player two would keep exactly the same record on their first grid, the grid where they have placed their battleships and perhaps the same style of keeping record would be adopted, this is simply for player two to keep their own record of player one’s actions. The battleship game then continues with the roles reversed, player two announces a square they wish to fire at, and the above is repeated in terms of keeping record. This sequence continues until one player has sunk all their opponent’s battleships, thus winning the battleship game.
